Cardiff Bay Tigers have been crowned Division One Champions of the 2026 Southern Recreational Ice Hockey Cup, sealing the title with a dominant 9-0 home victory over Swindon Sabertooths at Vindico Arena on 19th July 2026.
Dan Lewandowski's hat-trick led the way, with Michael Hutchings and Lokel Wong each scoring twice and contributions across the board from Cedric Racine, Morgan Evans, and the rest of the squad. A statement performance and the club's most dominant display at Vindico Arena this season, delivered on the night the title was won.
The Tigers currently stand at 10 wins and a draw from 11 league games, scoring 87 goals and conceding just 30, with one game still to play. Twenty-one points on the board already. For a club competing in their first full season of competitive hockey, it is a remarkable achievement.
The season has featured a string of landmark results: a 13-1 thrashing of Guildford Smoke, back-to-back 11-3 victories over Solent Spartans and Bristol Concordes, an 11-5 away win at Bristol, and a hard-fought 4-3 away win at Swindon Knights. The squad has shown quality and depth throughout, with players stepping up week after week across all 11 league games played so far.
