About the Tigers

Founded in 2025 and based out of the Vindico Arena, the Tigers were created with a clear vision: to help grow ice hockey in Cardiff while raising the standard for what amateur sport can look and feel like.

The club's identity is deeply connected to the city itself. Long before it became known as Cardiff Bay, the area was famously referred to as Tiger Bay; A name recognised across the world for its character, diversity, energy, and strong community spirit. The Tigers name is our way of paying tribute to that history while building something new for the next generation of hockey in Cardiff.

We believe grassroots hockey deserves the same passion, professionalism, and atmosphere as the elite game. From game nights and team culture to player development and fan experience, everything we do is built around pride, commitment, and representing Cardiff the right way.

The Tigers bring together players from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels, united by a shared love for the sport and a desire to compete hard every time they step on the ice. Whether it's a packed home crowd, a late-night training session, or an away trip across the country, we approach every moment with energy, intensity, and professionalism.

More than just a team, the Cardiff Bay Tigers are part of a growing hockey movement in Wales. We're proud to contribute to Cardiff's expanding ice hockey community and to stand alongside the city's other clubs, supporters, volunteers, and local businesses in helping grow the game.
