Cardiff Bay Tigers produced their most dominant home performance of the season, shutting out Swindon Sabertooths 9-0 at Vindico Arena to extend their unbeaten run in Division 1 of the Southern Recreational Cup.
Dan Lewandowski was the standout performer, completing a hat-trick to lead all scorers on the night. Michael Hutchings and Lokel Wong added two goals apiece, while Cedric Racine and Morgan Evans rounded off the scoring. Mike McCrudden, Hutchings, and Jeff Monaghan were the pick of the creators, combining for ten assists between them.
The Tigers controlled all three periods from the drop of the puck. The Sabertooths, arriving at Vindico Arena with a record of four wins from seven, were never allowed to settle and registered no goals across sixty minutes of play.
Jarred Ali put in a huge performance in net to secure the Tigers' first shutout of the season, denying the Sabertooths completely across all three periods. With 21 points from 11 games, Cardiff Bay Tigers sit clear at the top of Division 1.
